Car Dealers Reminded To Use DVLA System To Save Valuable Time

10th May 2019

The DVLA are reminding motorists and car dealers alike through a social media campaign that they can save valuable time telling the DVLA when they’ve sold, transferred or bought a vehicle, by using their free online service.

Eliminating the need for more paperwork at the point of sale, the DVLA’s simple online process means updated vehicle details will be recorded immediately and more accurately, whilst removing the need for postage costs. The service also provides greater security for your customers, as key information will no longer need to be shared/copied in the dealership or sent in the mail.

To use the service, car dealers simply need to confirm they are a motor trader, before selecting whether they’ve just bought or sold a vehicle. The DVLA will then provide clear instructions for the next steps, where you will begin entering the required information from the vehicle log book. The service is available from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week.

Dragon2000 are always encouraging car dealers to reduce security risks by using the safest and easiest methods in the day-to-day running of their dealerships, and these processes help to maintain a strong and trusting relationship with your customers.
