CDX 2016: Dragon2000’s Review

For the second year in succession, Dragon2000 attended the prestigious Car Dealer Expo (CDX) based at the home of British motor racing, Silverstone.
Run by Car Dealer Magazine, CDX continues to grow and this year’s show saw over 100 exhibitors and over 2,100 dealer delegates attend the event, making it the biggest automotive exhibition of its kind in the UK. There were also keynote speeches from some of the top technology companies in the world, such as Facebook, Google and Twitter.
Our primary focus at this year’s event was to showcase our range of products, DragonDMS, Dragon APPraise and our car dealer websites. The dealers who we spoke to were interested in the benefits of a Dragon2000 built website, in particular the time and money that could be saved from the fact that our sites include seamless live integration with our Dealer Management System.
We also ran a competition at the show that gave dealers the chance to win a free website designed and built by Dragon2000. We had a lot of entries from dealers with the eventual winner of the prize being Cadley Garage in Wiltshire, who can now look forward to a fresh new responsive website.
There was a lot of interest from dealers in our new app Dragon APPraise, which is free to all Dragon2000 customers and enables you to record and send VHC and sales videos to customers, as well as appraise arriving stock instantly. This all comes with seamless live integration through to DragonDMS, which will help increase workshop upselling and vehicle sales conversion.
We found the exhibition to be a great opportunity to meet lots of new dealers, while also catching up with some of our existing customers who had attended the show and subsequently visited our stand.
All in all, we found the day extremely worthwhile and continue to view CDX as an important day in the automotive industry calendar. We look forward to attending next year’s event on the 23rd of May.
